Got given photoshop on Friday so decided to give some icons a whirl. Going by the rules on 10x10 variated. They suck at the moment but practice makes perfect (I hope)

Plus the one I'm using in this post.
Anyone get the ST reference :( Also does anyone know how to make one of those icon bar things that make them all look pretty in a frame with headers and stuff?

Misc: I'm So Gay I Shit Rainbows
Mr. Olbermann,

I have recently seen your speech made after the passage of proposition 8 and wanted to thank you.
Though I live in Britian and this did not have any legal impact on myself I was incredibly sad for those people whose marriages were thrown into turmoil. I felt, even through the great distance, that these people who voted to pass prop 8 were attacking my life and trying to make me and all the other lesbian/gay/bisexual persons feel ashamed for what and who we are.
Your speech helped me to articulate what I found so hurtful about the reasons given by some of those who supported prop 8. While I fully respect peoples right to be heard and give voice to their opinions and beliefs I find it completely abhorent that anyone in such a proudly 'free' country should refuse another human being the same right.
Marriage, to me, is standing before friends and loved ones stating that you believe you have found the person you will love until the end of your days, and having those friends and loved ones acknowlegde this to be true. It is sharing your love with your God and declaring to the world that this is who you are and who you want to be with.
It is not having your neighbours say NO. That you are less than them, and because you are gay/lesbian/bisexual you do not have this right. That you standing before your friends and loved ones declaring your love is as meaning full as a child playing dress up.
We have the same right to love and be loved, and to have this acknowledged by the state/country we live in. We are no less worthy than other couples and while I do not say that every gay marriage will be a success, we at least deserve the same chance at happiness, security and peace in our lives.
I am not a very eloquent person, as you may have noticed, so, again I thank you for saying what I believe but could not voice. You have given me faith that, while I cannot make everyone in the world see me as I am not as they believe me to be, many people support me and others like me.

Thank You

The Eclectic

20% tuner, 40% rocker, 40% old-timer, 0% songwriter and 0% hipster!

You're difficult to pin down - adaptable and unexpected. When making a mix, variety is a virtue, and the same can be said for relationships. I bet you're open-minded, easy to get along with, and probably seeking the same in a partner. Good luck with that, by the way.

Word of warning: variety, like any virtue, has its limits. Nobody wants to hear "Smack That" after "It's Not Easy Being Green" unless they were at some kind of "Muppets Gone Wild" costume party. Hey, actually...

Your result for The Perception Personality Image Test...

NBPC - The Daydreamer

Nature, Background, Big Picture, and Color

You perceive the world with particular attention to nature. You focus on the hidden treasures of life (the background) and how that fits into the larger picture. You are also particularly drawn towards the colors around you. Because of the value you place on nature, you tend to find comfort in more subdued settings and find energy in solitude. You like to ponder ideas and imagine the many possibilities of your life without worrying about the details or specifics. You are in tune with all that is around you and understand your life as part of a larger whole. You are a down-to-earth person who enjoys going with the flow.

Alice- Monsters
Knicked from oh so many different people, I finally gave in and did it for myself.

Soundtrack to my Life

So, here's how it works:
1. Open your library (iTunes, Winamp, Media Player, iPod, etc)
2. Put it on shuffle
3. Press play
4. For every question, type the song that's playing
5. When you go to a new question, press the next button
6. Don't lie and try to pretend you’re cool

Opening Credits: I Wish - Kate Rusby
First Day At School: Kryptonite - 3 Doors Down
Falling In Love: Morning (from 'Peer Gynt') - Grieg
Fight Song: Make Yourself (Acoustic) - Incubus
Breaking Up: Chemistry - Semisonic
Life's OK: It Had To Be You - Michael Buble
Mental Breakdown: Loves Embrace - Christina Aguilera
Driving: Stripped - Christina Aguilera
Flashback: Misunderstanding - Genisis
Getting Back Together: I Wanna Be The Only One - Eternal & Bebe Williams
Wedding: Something About You - Five For Fighting
Birth of Child: Breathe - Melissa Etheridge
Final Battle: Molly's Chambers (Radio 1 Live) - Kings of Leon
Death Scene: You Owe Me Nothing In Return - Alanis Morrisette
Funeral Song: Let Down - Radio Head
End Credits: I Don't Wanna Know - Mario Winans Ft. P. Diddy

Couldn't Decide if the Interlude in 'Mental breakdown' should stand as it ALWAYS preceeds Stripped. So if it doesn't knock them up a step from then on with 'If Only She Knew - Michelle Branch.... as the End Credits one.

My pirate name is:

Mad Anne Bonney

Every pirate is a little bit crazy. You, though, are more than just a little bit. You can be a little bit unpredictable, but a pirate's life is far from full of certainties, so that fits in pretty well. Arr!

Fandomness ;)

Okay so very bored right now so I've decided to do a fandom cut i.e. what my fandoms are why I like them, recs etc.(there are over 30 so this may take awhile). This is purely to stop me being bored and to remind me, some of them are old fandoms and some I'm sure I'll forget and it's nice to revisit if you haven't seen/read anything in a couple of years *cough*sentinel*cough*.
(Also for the recs I have a system,
Drabble= less than 1000 words,
Short Fic= 1000 to 5000 words
Mid Fic= 5000- 20,000 words
Long Fic= 20,000-100,000 words
Epic Fic= 100,000 words +)

Buffy. )

Okay writing this after the rest as looking back I think I need a warning. I am a slash and femmeslash fan, as those who actually know me realise. It is an addiction and I embrace it. I also love H/C stories and so am drawn more to the more damaged, awkward or outcast characters. I also like reading about them being injured in various ways and their family/friends/partner/imaginary friend (delete as applicable) fixing them and making it all better. Be warned there is madness behind the cut.
Also I have realised this little project will take a while as I keep finding things I want to read so I may just do it one section at a time ;)
